FolioDynamix, a provider of web-based wealth management technology, has acquired Access Partners, a registered investment advisor that specializes in trust investment management and operations, in an all-cash transaction.

FolioDynamix said the move bolsters its marketshare in the bank trust channel and allows it to deliver a single wealth management platform that can be used by both bank trusts and brokerages.

“Access Partners brings a great deal to our business - including an expanded set of separately-managed account managers, research and client access, consulting and field support resources, and a tremendous amount of expertise in the bank trust space,” said Joseph Mrak, president and chief executive of FolioDynamix.

Meanwhile, Access Partners said its clients will benefit from FolioDynamix’s strong wealth management technology platform and the ability to expand beyond separately-managed accounts into model portfolios.
