Florida-Based Bank Relocates Coral Gables Wealth Office

Florida-based Sabadell United Bank is moving its Coral Gables private banking and wealth management team to its Brickell Avenue, Miami headquarters.
The move will not result in any job losses and clients can still work with their existing team of advisors from the new venue, as well as conduct regular banking transactions at the old location. Overseeing the bank and trust division in Miami is Orlando Roche, former manager of the Miami office for Lydian.
“This move confirms Sabadell’s commitment to build a private wealth management business that serves the broader Miami area,” said Mario Trueba, president and chief executive.
The bank, part of Spain’s Banco Sabadell Group, acquired Lydian Private Bank in a FDIC-assisted transaction last August, expanding its branch network to Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Tampa, Sarasota, Naples and Coral Gables.
The firm already had branches in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties and at the time of the takeover laid out its ambitions to become a significant player in the state for professionals, wealthy clients and businesses.
For the first nine months pf last year, Sabadell United Bank posted a net profit of $17.7 million.
