US financial services technology firm Fiserv has appointed Lance Drummond as executive vice president to lead several strategic growth initiatives in wealth management, data analytics and consulting.

Mr Drummond joins Fiserv on 6 April and in his new role will report to Jeffery Yabuki, Fiserv’s chief executive.

"Lance's proven track record in developing and operating scale businesses along with his experience leading digital and payments strategies is well aligned with our growth objectives. The significant data-focused opportunities across Fiserv will form the basis of our next-generation financial services products and technology,” said Mr Yabuki.

Mr Drummond joins Fiserv after six years at Bank of America, where he most recently led its online bank and ATM operations. Prior to this, he was the service and fulfillment operations executive for global technology and operations.

Fiserv, which was founded in 1984, has a presence in 250 locations around the world, employing a total of 20,000 people.
