First Western Trust has promoted former vice presidents Victor Alonzo and Matt Gorr to president of its Phoenix and Boulder offices respectively.

In his new role within the Phoenix office, Alonzo will work with high net worth individuals, their extended families and closely-held businesses on reaching their financial targets, the firm said in a statement.

Alonzo has a 30-year background in developing client relationships, as well as experience in banking and portfolio management. Prior to joining First Western, he held senior positions at JP Morgan, Wells Fargo and National Bank of Arizona.

Meanwhile, Boulder-based Gorr brings to his new role over 16 years of lending and bank management experience and will also work with HNW individuals, their extended families, and closely-held businesses on their financial goals.

Before joining First Western, Gorr was a vice president of commercial lending for The First National Bank of Arvada.

In related news, the firm appointed Andrew Ewing as senior vice president and portfolio manager for its Los Angeles office in December last year.
