First Republic Recruits Former Morgan Stanley Wealth Executive

First Republic Bank announced yesterday that it has hired former Morgan Stanley senior wealth management executive Charles Radcliffe as managing director of its First Republic Securities Company.

In his new role, Mr Radcliffe will work out of the firm’s Rockefeller Center office in New York City. His duties include a focus on collaborating with individuals, families, businesses, foundations and non-profit organizations to meet their investment needs.

Prior to joining First Republic, Mr Radcliffe worked at Morgan Stanley for 17 years, most recently as senior vice president in the Global Wealth Management Group. He has also worked as an investment banker for Dean Witter Reynolds, and as an attorney at the law firm of Mudge, Rose, Guthrie, Alexander & Ferdon.

First Republic Securities Company is the brokerage service of First Republic Bank. It provides a range of investment products, including municipal and US Government securities, corporate debt and equity securities, and alternative investments.

Mr Radcliffe is the second managing director hired by First Republic Bank this fall, after Lisa Garey’s appointment to the firm’s Los Angeles office in September of this year.
