First Republic Nabs BNY Mellon Portfolio Manager

First Republic Bank has hired Gene Martino, latterly of BNY Mellon, as a portfolio manager and managing director in New York City.
Martino is a 15-year veteran of BNY Mellon, where he joins from and worked most recently as a managing director and senior portfolio manager. Earlier in his career he worked for Smith Barney and Bankers Trust.
He joins First Republic Investment Management, which falls within the wealth management division, and will provide equity and fixed-income investment management services to clients. He will use both traditional portfolio management and outside managers for these asset classes, as well as alternative investments.
