First Republic Bank has appointed Merrill Lynch veteran Mark Alibrandi to its private wealth management division, as a managing director and investment consultant based in Boston.

Alibrandi joins First Republic Securities Company, part of the firm's wealth offering that provides investment products, including municipal and US government securities, corporate debt, equities and alternatives. 

Alibrandi spent 20 years at Merrill Lynch, most recently serving as senior vice president, investments.
