First Republic Bolsters Private Wealth Unit

First Republic Bank, the San Francisco wealth manager and private bank, has appointed Mary Hayes as portfolio manager and managing director for its private wealth management unit.

Hayes was previously a senior vice president and senior portfolio manager at US Trust in New York. Before that, she worked for Scudder Zurich Private Investment Counsel and The Bank of New York. In this new role, she will offer equity and fixed income investment management solutions to high net worth individuals and families, foundations and endowments. She brings over 22 years of experience to First Republic.

First Republic has announced a series of hires and new offices over the past year and from its beginnings in 1985 has grown to have a network of 61 branches across the US. As of September 30, its wealth management assets stood at $18.5 billion.
