First Republic Bank, a US-based wealth management and private banking services provider, has appointed Brett Berry as managing director of its investment management firm, Trainer Wortham & Co. Prior to joining First Republic, Mr Berry was with US Trust as senior vice president and senior portfolio manager, working with high net worth individuals and institutions. Trainer Wortham & Co managed approximately $5 billion of client assets as of 30 September 2006. First Republic manages and administeres around $16 billion in wealth management assets from its investment management, wealth advisory, trust, and brokerage groups.
