First Republic Bank hires veteran business banker

Perry Teaff appointed to help extend private bank's outreach to businesses. First Republic Bank, a San Francisco-based private bank and wealth-management firm, has hired business banker Perry Teaff to help lead its growing business banking group.

First Republic's business banking division provides lending, cash management and deposit services to firms in sectors like wine, financial and professional services, property management and real estate, and non-profits.

Teaff has over 30 years of experience in the financial service sector. Before joining First Republic, Teaff was with Napa Valley Community Bank as senior commercial loan officer. Prior to that he held a similar position with First Bank & Trust of Napa.

First Republic and its subsidiaries had $31.8 billion in bank and managed assets at the end of September 2006. -FWR
