First Republic Adds MD In San Francisco

First Republic Bank, the San Francisco-based private banking and wealth management firm, has appointed Dirk ten Grotenhuis as managing director.
During his career ten Grotenhuis has worked for San Francisco-based Stone & Youngberg for 17 years, most recently as managing director. Prior to that, he was with Morgan Stanley in New York and San Francisco.
In his new role, he will serve First Republic's non-profit clients, including private schools, museums, performing arts groups, and other similar community-service organizations. The company offers lending, deposit, foreign exchange, securities custody, cash management, and other investment management services to such clients.
The appointment is the latest among the company's expansion moves in California in recent months, including the hire of Nga Nguyen as a relationship manager for San Diego and Linnea McArt as a managing director for Los Angeles.
