Financial Services Firm Launches New Private Client Operation

The firm is known for its alternative assets business, and will continue its strategy to diversify its operation.

Financial services firm First Names Group has expanded its private client offering with a new yachting and aviation team based in the Isle of Man, as the firm follows its strategy of diversifying its alternative assets operation.

The team will consist of four members led by associate director Grant Atchison, the firm said last week in a statement.

The Isle of Man-based office will specialise exclusively in superyacht and aircraft asset ownership, operational administration and management. The team has joined from Equiom’s Isle of Man operation, according to Atchison’s LinkedIn profile.

Further hires are expected to be announced by the firm.

“It is with great pleasure that I welcome Grant, Chris, Sue and Sean to the business,” said Craig Brown, managing director, Isle of Man office. “Collectively they possesses significant, focused expertise and over 50 years’ worth of experience in the aviation and yachting sectors – creating a centre of excellence within the organisation, not just in the Isle of Man but for our international Group as a whole. The team has an exciting and busy year lined up ahead of them with numerous industry events in plan and I look forward to seeing the progress they make as the “first names” in yachting and aviation services.”

This news highlights First Names Group strategy to expand its alternative assets operation, as it recently appointed classic car expert James Haithwaite to its Jersey office.
