Fieldpoint Private Bank & Trust has struck up a partnership with Mercer to strengthen its manager research and due diligence capabilities.

Fieldpoint Private says it offers a conflict-free manager platform, and through the agreement will combine its internal methodology of researching traditional and alternative managers with Mercer's global proprietary database of investment manager performance.

The firm will in this way extend its coverage of separate account managers, mutual funds, hedge funds, funds of hedge funds, real estate and other money managers tracked by Mercer. The database encompasses some 20,000 styles and 60,000 track records.
