Fidelity International Boosts Intermediary Business In Asia

This publication brings latest news on moves and hires in the Asia-Pacific wealth management sector.

Fidelity International continued with a series of high-profile hires by appointing Ben Waterhouse, who currently heads its wholesale sales business in the UK, to a leadership role in Asia.

Waterhouse has been named head of intermediary business, Southeast Asia and Middle East, and country head in Singapore. He reports to Daisy Ho, MD, Asia ex-Japan. She was appointed to that newly-created role in October. She joined the firm in 2005 and was previously head of institutional business, Asia ex-Japan. She is based in Hong Kong.

Waterhouse joined Fidelity in August 2010, having spent 10 years at Legal & General Investment Management leading distribution in the intermediary market, the company said in a statement yesterday.

“The South East Asian and Middle East markets are critical to our growth strategy,” Waterhouse said.
