Fairbairn Private Bank, which is present in London, Jersey, the Isle of Man and South Africa, has launched FPB Academy, a bespoke online training platform for its advisors.

FPB Academy was developed in partnership with the online training company Competent Adviser and will be offered to all the bank’s client-facing staff, Fairbairn said in a statement.

Competent Adviser’s core offering is a competence testing and learning management system that provides examination qualifications and regulatory training. Designed to be suitable for both experienced advisors looking to develop their skills and knowledge and novices who are just starting their initial training, the system allows firms to regularly assess their staff and also generates reports which can be used to demonstrate that regulatory requirements have been met.

Competent Adviser has provided us with the tools and knowledge to set up the platform, which promotes consistently high standards of client service among our staff,” said Lynn Kelly, senior training executive at Fairbairn.

In another technology-related move made this year, Fairbairn upgraded its client communications processes in March with the Equipos Coric Straight Through Reporter system - a client reporting platform incorporating data modelling, data maintenance, document design and report production.
