The UK-listed asset management group F&C Investments has appointed Scott Spencer to its multi-manager team led by Rob Burdett and Gary Potter, effective July.

The UK-listed asset management group F&C Investments has appointed Scott Spencer to its multi-manager team led by Rob Burdett and Gary Potter, effective from July.

Spencer joins from Aberdeen’s multi-asset solutions team where he was responsible for the management of several multi-asset and single country funds.

Between 2004 and 2009, he was a portfolio manager within Credit Suisse Asset Management’s multi-manager division, founded by Rob Burdett and Gary Potter.

“Scott joins at an exciting time for our team and the multi-manager industry as a whole. Investors are increasingly turning to these types of out-sourced solutions and this is a trend we expect will only continue,” said Potter.

“Following a strong period of asset gathering and performance across our F&C MM Navigator and Lifestyle fund ranges, we felt now was the right time to invest further in the expansion of our team. Our team’s total assets under management have grown to over £2.1 billion, which includes the recently awarded Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust mandate,” he added.
