The winners of the WealthBriefing Swiss Awards 2017 have been revealed.

Outstanding practitioners in Switzerland's wealth management sector were honoured by this publication in its annual awards programme for the Alpine state last night. The ceremony, held at the Hotel President Wilson, Geneva, drew together individuals from a wide range of institutions and sectors including banks, private client law firms, financial technology businesses, international financial centres and consultancies.

Among the highlights of the evening was a talk - complete with an enthralling short film and set of photographs - from Professor Claude Nicollier, a member of the Swiss Space Center and and an astronaut who completed four Space Shuttle flights, logging over 1,000 hours in space. He also graduated as a Swiss Air Force pilot and has worked as a test pilot. His talk gave the audience an opportunity to put the challenges of the wealth industry into perspective.
