UBS Wealth Management has appointed a senior mortgage advisor in a push for further growth, this publication can exclusively report.

Anthony Delaney joins the Investment Products and Services Mortgage Solutions team, UBS said in a statement. Previously, Delaney was at BNP Paribas Fortis Private Property Finance as a senior relationship manager and has also worked at Barclays and National Australia Bank.

The IPS team have set out clear ambitions for further growth in its UK high and ultra high net worth individuals residential mortgage proposition. It would provide a flexible mortgage solution for clients requiring loans of at least £1 million (over $1.5 million).

"We have seen significant demand for mortgages from our clients over the last 18 months, with a broad range of high quality new loans at all levels, from a million pounds to several tens of millions of pounds, leading to considerable growth in our book,” said Nick Perryman head of Investment Products & Services for the UK and Jersey.

Investment Products & Services is a group that supports UBS's wealth management division with product specialists involved in product development and management, product selection, client coverage, sales support and execution. In the UK, the IPS team consists of over 100 professionals - across capital markets, investment management, investment advisory, investment funds, hedge funds, private equity, securities execution, mortgages, lending and wealth planning.
