Two senior executives from UBS' high net worth Philippines business have left to take up new roles at archrival Credit Suisse.
The departure of Angela Bow, the former country head of the Swiss bank's Philippines business, was announced last month and covered exclusively by WealthBriefingAsia.
This publication has now learned that Bow has been appointed managing director and market leader for the Philippines in its private banking division, based in Hong Kong. She reports to Martin Kuenzler, managing director and market area head for emerging Asia and starts at Switzerland's second largest bank Credit Suisse on 6 December. She has more than 25 years experience in international private banking with UBS and Citibank in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Geneva and New York.
Albert Ma will also be joining Credit Suisse’s private banking division as managing director and team leader for the Philippines based in Hong Kong. Reporting to Bow, he starts 18 January 2012.
Ma also joins from UBS where his last role was desk head of the high net worth segment for the Philippines market. He has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry and has had roles at HSBC and UBS.
Bow left the Swiss bank at around the same time as another colleague Carol Chen, managing director and a desk head at UBS.
Chen is joining Barclays Wealth in Singapore, where she will take up the role of market head, Greater China.
