EXCLUSIVE: Top Level Promotion At Sarasin

Scott Duncan at Sarasin has been promoted to vice chair client advisory, from his previous role of managing director at the bank, this publication can confirm.

Scott Duncan at Sarasin has been promoted to vice chair client advisory, from his previous role of managing director at the bank, this publication can confirm.

The move follows the departure of former vice chair of client advisory Southeast Asia, Febby Avianto, who has since joined RBC Wealth Management as managing director and market manager, reporting to Grace Barki, managing director and head of Southeast Asia at the Canadian bank.

Under his new title, effective since March,  Ducan reports to Eric Morin, managing director and chief executive of Sarasin's Singapore branch, and Southeast Asia.

Morin joined Sarasin in January from BNP Paribas wealth management, where he was deputy chief executive for Southeast Asia, market manager for international wealth management and other Asian markets, and a member of the Asian wealth Management executive committee.

Following regulatory approvals, Sarasin will be rebranded as Bank J Safra Sarasin, the effective date for which is to be announced, a spokesperson told WealthBriefingAsia.

The firm has a footprint of 30 locations in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, with assets of around SFr130 billion ($140.2 billion) and a staff of around 2,140 people.
