EXCLUSIVE: Senior Advisor Leaves UBS Wealth Management After Over A Decade

A senior wealth manager at UBS in Geneva, who had supported teams in Iberia, Latin America and the Caribbean, has left the firm, this publication can exclusively report.
Thomas Egger has left his post as senior advisor at UBS Wealth Management in Geneva, WealthBriefing can reveal.
In his former role, Egger supported regional heads and their teams in Iberia, Latin America and the Caribbean. He first joined UBS in 1998 and transferred to the Swiss bank’s wealth management business the year after. He has previously been chief executive of the sports and entertainment group in the bank's wealth arm.
Egger is understood to be on gardening leave with the ambition to start a new activity on 1 June.
UBS declined to comment on the matter when contacted by this publication.
Last week, this publication exclusively reported that UBS Wealth Management strengthened its presence in Russia with the hire of Marco Pavoncelli as a senior client advisor based in Moscow. Earlier this month, WealthBriefing revealed that Brian O'Reilly, head of research at UBS Wealth Management in the UK, had left the firm after nearly 12 years.
At the start of May, UBS said that its wealth management pre-tax profit was SFr803 million ($833 million) in the first quarter of 2012 compared with SFr471 million in the previous quarter.
