EXCLUSIVE: Global Wealth Management Recruiter Expands In Asia

Gibson Tullberg, the executive search firm, is expanding its Asia team by hiring Rahul Sen and Antony Bejoy Jose from rival Webbe International, this publication can exclusively report.

Sen worked as the head of the private banking practice at Webbe, with responsibility for Singapore, Hong Kong and aspects of the Middle East and international markets.

WealthBriefing understands that Jose was a leading consultant in the same practice area.

The recruitment firm has been expanding for some time and already has a presence in markets such as the UK and Switzerland, among others.

“We are delighted to attract Rahul to take a leadership role in helping to define our Asian business. We are convinced that our clients will see added value in a bigger balanced practice which now becomes the number one in APAC by scale, within wealth and private asset management,” said Tim Gibson-Tullberg, founder of the eponymous business. “There are enormous synergies when we bring our client base to bear with Rahul and Antony’s experience and performance,” he added.

Gibson Tullberg has developed an Asian practice that is centred in Singapore; it now has six staff, making it the biggest headhunter in the region focusing on wealth and related financial markets, the firm says.

“We remain convinced that the volumetric ‘recruitment’ engine of Asia is over, but with banks seeking to hire selectively, the market is now moving to a ‘head hunting’ model where banks seek to identify absolute, select qualities and deploy their resources accordingly,” Gibson-Tullberg said.
