A team of ex-Wachovia Securities investment professionals has launched an independent asset management group, Riverfront Investment Group in Richmond, Virginia. Michael Jones, Rod Smyth, Doug Sandler and Pete Quinn will be offering a series of separate account portfolios as well as strategic and tactical market commentary to financial advisors and their clients including high net worth investors, families and institutions. Riverfront's minority investors include Robert W Baird & Co and an investment vehicle managed by Private Advisors LLC. Baird is an employee-owned, international wealth management, capital markets, private equity and asset management firm with offices in the US, Europe and Asia. Private Advisors is an independent global alternative investments firm focused on the management of hedge fund and private equity fund of funds products, specialising in absolute return, long/short equity, distressed and private equity strategies.
