Michelle Michel, a former UBS fund manager based in Zurich, has launched a consultancy service providing third party marketing, product management, and merger & acquisition services for fund and wealth managers seeking to expand in the Swiss and European markets. Called Agora, the firm will also conduct specialised fund searches for Swiss-based manager selection teams of family offices, private banks and hedge fund investment firms. Agora also plans to collaborate with several partner firms to further develop international client relationships for its clients, focusing on the Swiss market while its partner companies extend coverage to other European countries, including, Austria, Spain, Germany and France. Agora has already acquired its first client, Eight Winds Capital Management, and will be supporting founder Jim Hansel, a former star fund manager at UBS, in developing business for the company within Switzerland.
