Ex-Barclays Wealth Scotland Boss Joins UK's Tcam

The UK wealth management firm, which was recently subject to a management buyout, made the senior appointment in Scotland.

Former Barclays Wealth Scotland head Mark Little has joined Tcam as its new investment director.

Little, who will work in the firm’s Edinburgh office, left Barclays Wealth at the end of 2013 following a restructure of the bank's regional offices. He headed up the firm's Scotland and Northern Ireland offices since 2005, managing 120 staff in four offices across the UK, and responsible for £4 billion ($5.6 billion) of private client funds.

The hire comes after Tcam's chief executive, Alex Montgomery, and chief investment officer, Haig Bathgate, led a management buyout from law firm Turcan Connell in October 2015.

“Mark has a wealth of financial services experience in fund management, research and investment, and private banking. He is going to be a heavy hitting member of the team and his proven ability to craft efficacious business strategies and his visions for development will push our development as a firm,” said Montgomery.

Tcam, which also has an office in London, currently has over £1 billion in assets under management.
