European-Style Private Bank Appoints Chicago Office Head

The PrivateBank has appointed Christina Ksoll head of Chicago's Gold Coast office which is located in Chicago's historic Palmolive Building. Ms Ksoll, a managing director of the PrivateBank, a unit of PrivateBancorp, will be responsible for working with clients as well as the overall operation and business development of the Gold Coast office, which opened in 2005. Prior to joining The PrivateBank, Ms Ksoll was senior vice president and a division head at Northern Trust, Chicago, where she was responsible for serving the private banking needs of business owners and real estate entrepreneurs. Previously she was with Harris Trust & Savings Bank, Chicago where she was vice president, private banking, working with affluent individuals, service firms and international clients. PrivateBancorp says it uses the European model of private banking to develop lifetime relationships with its clients. The company, which had assets under management of $4.5 billion in June 2007, has 18 offices located in the Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, St Louis, and Kansas City metropolitan areas.
