Equiom Appoints New CEO

The latest moves and appointments at Equiom, an Isle of Man-based provider of professional and fiduciary services to the private wealth sector.
Equiom has appointed Jonathan Jennings as its new group Chief Executive Officer, subject to regulatory approval.
He will be joining from JTC where he led JTC’s global funds and corporate business lines as the group head of institutional client services.
Prior to joining JTC, he served in a range of senior leadership roles at a number of leading global market firms, the firm said in a statement.
His appointment as CEO follows the recent announcement that funds managed by Alcentra have become the new majority owners of the group and the appointment of Farah Ballands, ex-CEO of Ocorian Group, as chair.
Welcoming his appointment, Jennings, incoming CEO, said: “Equiom is an exciting business with committed new owners and a great future ahead of it.”
Ballands added: “I am delighted to have joined Equiom as chair and very much look forward to working with him to take the business to the next level under its new ownership.”
“We have an exceptional and experienced senior leadership team who we are confident will deliver Equiom’s strategic objectives,” Alex Walker, managing director at Alcentra said.
Mike Thomas, interim CEO, said he would continue in his current role until Jennings officially joins the group.
