EisnerAmper Flexes Cyber-Security Muscles

EisnerAmper has pushed into a number of areas in recent years, such as advising wealthy families and business owners.
EisnerAmper, the
professional services firm that has pushed into areas including
advising wealthy families and business owners in regions such as
Europe, has brought in IT security services firm CSAM Marketing
to help it protect clients from cyber-security attacks.
CSAM’s leadership team and engineers have become part of
EisnerAmper’s process, risk and technology solutions group. The
business was founded in 1984 and operates in the New Jersey and
New York metropolitan area of the US.
“Prior to this, we specialised in identifying, measuring and
monitoring a client’s cyber-security risks. Now, with the
technology and talent of CSAM, we can also provide real-time
remediation services,” Jerry Ravi, EisnerAmper partner and PRTS
practice leader, said. “This exciting, strategic move is at the
core of our philosophy of bringing technology-enabled services
and solutions to clients of all niches, sizes and growth stages.”
The move comes at a time when 2,600 computer records are stolen
every minute and the average time to identify a cyber-breach is
196 days - all at a cost of $2 trillion annually to businesses,
EisnerAmper said, citing industry reports.
CSAM’s technology partners include such companies as AWS,
Microsoft, Datto, Lenovo and others. Rahul Mahna (CSAM managing
partner, who will join EisnerAmper as a PRTS managing director)
pioneered the FiR$T Look program that can effectively measure a
client’s security risk along with the related financial risk.
EisnerAmper has made a number of strategic moves recently. In
March 2018, it opened an office in London in order to launch an
operation in the UK before Brexit is finalized. The London office
is led by Robert Mirsky, partner and head of the asset management
practice group. In April 2018 it also officially opened its
Singapore office.
