EFG Bank Boosts Singapore Leadership With Hires From DBS

The Swiss-headquartered firm has boosted its Singapore team.

EFG Bank Singapore, part of Swiss-listed EFG International, has hired a senior team from DBS including Cem Azak as senior managing director, international markets.

Azak was most recently executive director, team lead covering Europe, Middle East and Africa at DBS Private Bank, Singapore. He brings 11 years of investment banking and wealth management experience having spent nine years with Barclays, located in London, Zurich and Frankfurt.

He joins with a team including Lucy Gao as first vice president. Gao most recently served as DBS Bank's vice president of private banking since 2013, according to her LinkedIn profile. Prior to this, she worked within Morgan Stanley's private wealth management team.

Zurich-headquartered EFG International provides private banking and asset management services from around 30 locations worldwide. The group's private banking subsidiary, EFG Bank, established a presence in Singapore and Asia 15 years ago.
