Edmond De Rothschild Add Quant Investment Expertise

The team will build a strategy that harnesses mathematical models using computer-driven algorithms and machine learning.
Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has added to its
quantitative investment expertise.
The European firm has recruited an active management quant team,
led by industry veteran Bruno Taillardat, including senior
quant portfolio managers, Xavier Marconnet and Frédéric Girod.
They will be joined by two quantitative portfolio managers and a
quant research analyst. They will be joining on 1
November.

The new quant team will build an active return strategy with a
decision-making process based on advanced mathematical
models using computer-driven algorithms and machine

Taillardat, head of quantitative portfolio management, has a
25-year track record in quant investing. He will be
joining from Amundi Paris where he has held the same
position since 2016. Prior to that he was head of equity
investments and quantitative and fundamental research at
Unigestion for nine years. He will be based in Geneva, reporting
to Edmond de Rothschild AM’s CIO Benjamin Melman, and will start
on 1 November.
Marconnet, lead quantitative portfolio manager, is
joining from Unigestion where he led the “Core AI” active
equity strategies, focusing on the integration of machine
learning and responsible investing.
Girod, quantitative analyst and portfolio manager, is
joining from Koch Supply & Trading. Previously, he was a
quantitative analyst/data scientist at UEFA and founded Anaxagore
Advanced Analytics, where he developed data-driven strategies
focusing on derivatives.
Marconnet and Girod are based in Geneva and will report to
Taillardat.
Edmond de Rothschild AM manages €107 billion ($125.6 billion) in
AuM on behalf of institutional clients and distributors.
