Dynasty Creates US West Coast Leadership Post

This publication brings latest news on moves and appointments in the global wealth management sector.
Former UBS man David Wiener has joined Dynasty Financial Partners as director of network development for the US western division, as the firm strengthens its business coast-to-coast.
Based in San Francisco, Wiener will report to Dynasty's chief executive, Shirl Penney. He will also work with Stan Gregor, head of East Coast network development, to further expand Dynasty's national footprint.
It has been a busy 12 months for Dynasty, the firm having also recently opened corporate offices in Chicago, San Francisco, and Florida. Ten of the 36 advisory firms on its network platform are West Coast-based.
Wiener's 25-year career in wealth management involves senior roles at two large firms. At UBS, he was regional director for the Southwest and then the Northwest region, where his team included over 1,000 employees advising on $70 billion in client assets. Most recently, he was managing director in charge of Silicon Valley. In prior roles, he led the greater Texas market and Utah/Idaho complex. Wiener began his career at Merrill Lynch.
