Dual Senior Appointments for BNP Paribas

Paris-based BNP Paribas has announced the dual appointments of Charlotte Dennery and Michel Anastassiades.

Ms Dennery will become chief executive of wealth management platform FundQuest, while Mr Anastassiades has been made executive chairman of FFTW, a manager of fixed-income portfolios for institutional clients.

Both moves are from within BNP-Paribas, of which FundQuest and FFTW are subsidiaries. Both appointees will report to Philippe Marchessaux, head of BNP Paribas Investment Partners.

Ms Dennery will be in charge of consolidating the leadership of multi-management specialist FundQuest. She joined BNP Paribas in 2001 as head of strategy for the group’s corporate and investment bank, and in 2004 moved to BNP Paribas Insurance as head of finance, development, strategy and asset management and member of the executive committee.

Mr Anastassiades will pursue the development of FFTW alongside chief executive Debbie Hazell. He joined BNP Paribas Group in 2007 as CEO of FundQuest and was a driver behind the acquisition of UK multi-manager, IMS. Prior to BNP Paribas, Mr Anastassiades worked for Credit Lyonnais Corporate and Investment Bank where he was global head of fixed income and structured finance.

Boston-based FundQuest, a subsidiary of Paris-based BNP Paribas since 2005, has approximatley $40 billion in assets under management and administration across Europe and the US.

New York-based FFTW - Fischer Francis Trees & Watts - is a wholly-owned, independently-operated subsidiary of BNP Paribas, providing institutional fixed-income products and capabilities for BNP Paribas Investment Partners, the asset management business line of BNP Paribas. As at 30 June 2009, FFTW managed assets of $19 billion.
