Qatar’s Doha Bank will offer a fleet of new wealth management products after signing a deal with the American Life Insurance Company. The Prestige line of products is targeted at wealthy individuals, chief executives and business owners whose survival is key to the running of their businesses or partnerships. Under the policies, a business or estate is protected in case of the death of their key men or of the business owner himself. The policy provides coverage up to 95 years of age and the limit of protection ranges from $2 million to $10 million. Doha Bank’s head of bancassurance Manoj Kumar said the product could be used to protect a company by covering key employees or the directors of a company as part of a share protection agreement. "The plan could also be used to cover the mortgages of high end property purchasers. Prestige is a plan for anybody who is looking for long-term protection with guaranteed returns,” he added.
