Digital Digest: The Latest Tech News - Avaloq, Handelsbanken

The latest news from around the world on developments in technology and new ways of providing wealth management services.
Avaloq
Avaloq has launched a
data analytics solution for banks and wealth managers which
enables them to get clear information rapidly on how bespoke
pricing affects individual clients.
The new Cost & Fee Analytics solution, to use its full name,
complements and extends Avaloq’s established Cost & Fee suite.
The firm presented its new offering, which is now available for
Avaloq clients, at is recent Community Conferences in Zurich and
Singapore.
Cost & Fee Analytics has been designed to support front office
staff, such as relationship managers, to negotiate discounts and
renewals.
"It [the new solution] has been launched at a time when prices
are increasingly under review by clients and price negotiation,
particularly for high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients,
has become commonplace," Avaloq said.
The firm said that its solution helps to recognise pricing
opportunities rapidly and, at the same time, manage
regulations such as MiFID II which demands better oversight and
comprehensive audit trails with regards to client fees.
The TALL Group of Companies, Handelsbanken
The TALL Group of Companies, a UK firm which provides secure
paper and electronic payment solutions, has extended a
partnerhsip with Handelsbanken, having
won an initial three-year contract to deliver cheque books.
The group’s Lisburn-based subsidiary, DLRT Ltd, will print and
personalise cheque and credit books for the bank’s customers,
which incorporate security features such as a Unique Coded

The UCN is applied to the cheque as part of the personalisation
printing process. It works in combination with the MICR (magnetic
code line) and is created as an arrangement of digits, characters
and symbols which can be decrypted by certified personnel using a
"secret key".
