Deutsche taps new head for western private banking

German bank calls Michael Davis to head up West Coast business. Former Citigroup private banker Michael Davis has joined Deutsche Bank’s Private Wealth Management (PWM) unit as a managing director in charge of private banking in PWM’s Los Angeles, San Francisco and Orange Co., Calif., offices.

Patrick Campion, head of U.S. private banking at PWM, calls Davis “a tremendous asset” to his team as it strives “to be the best provider of financial services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.”

Davis had been Western regional head of Citigroup Private Bank. Campion, who joined PWM earlier this year, is also a former Citigroup private banker.

PWM and Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, the private-client unit of Deutsche Bank Securities, have been hiring a lot this year, especially in the West.

In addition to the West Coast locations already mentioned, PWM has offices in New York, Greenwich, Conn., Boston, Palm Beach, Fla., and Chicago. –FWR
