Deutsche names NY trust-services head

Hartley to lead NYC, Georgia and Florida trust teams. Deutsche Bank has made former U.S. Trust executive Susan Hartley head of trust and estate services for its Private Wealth Management (PWM) unit in New York with additional oversight of trust-advisory teams in Atlanta and Palm Beach, Fla.

A managing director, Hartley reports to George Leis, head of PWM’s U.S. trust business.

“We are delighted to have a professional with Susan's extensive experience join our team,” says Leis. “She will be a significant addition to our organization.”

New York-based Hartley has been a financial-service professional for more than 20 years. Prior to joining U.S. Trust, where she was chief fiduciary officer, she was head of trust administration at SunTrust Banks.

In addition to leading trust-advisory teams in New York, Atlanta and Plam beach, Htartley will also serve as a senior advisor to affluent families and help bring in new business.

PWM provides high-worth clients with investments, risk management strategies, credit services, trust and estate services, wealth-transfer planning, family-office services, custody and advice and services centered around philanthropy. In addition to offices in New Yorkand Palm Beach, it has offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange Co., Calif., Chicago, Greenwich, Conn., Boston and Palm Beach, Fla .

Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, the private-client unit of Deutsche Bank Securities, has along 12 U.S. locations including an office in Atlanta. –FWR
