Deutsche Joins Vontobel’s Multi-Issue Platform

Deutsche Bank has joined Swiss bank Vontobel’s multi-issuer platform for structured products, deritrade.

Deutsche Bank has joined Swiss bank Vontobel’s multi-issuer platform for structured products, deritrade.

With the addition of Deutsche Bank the platform now has products from four major industry players, including Morgan Stanley and Société Générale. This adds to the reduction in production costs by being grouped together on a central issuing platform, the firms said in statement.

“This development provides access to an attractive distribution channel and diverse client base,” said Nicolas Traissac, head of equity derivatives trading for EMEA at Deutsche Bank.

The platform ensures that issuers’ products are tailored and transparently comparable structured products by ensuring that they are fully compliant with the investor protection rules set out in the European Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, which, among other things, imposes stringent requirements regarding the comparability of set prices.

Specialising in active asset management and investment solutions, Vontobel held approximately SFr160 billion ($178.2 billion) of assets as of 30 June 2013.
