Deutsche Bank Names Senior Representatives For Handling Media, EU

Deutsche Bank has made two senior appointments to roles representing the bank to the world of media and European policymaking.
Gernany’s largest bank named Dr Hans-Dieter Holtzmann to take over as head of Deutsche Bank's EU representation in Brussels on 1 February. Meanwhile, it said Ansgar Tietmeyer will take over as head of Deutsche Bank’s public affairs department in Berlin on 1 February.
Tietmeyer succeeds Thomas Matussek, who took over management of the Alfred Herrhausen Society this month, according to a statement.
Deutsche Bank said Tietmeyer will strengthen Deutsche Bank’s relationships with ministries, authorities, political parties and members of parliament, while coordinating relations within the bank. He will report to Thorsten Strauss, global head of communications, corporate and social responsibility, and public affairs.

Dr Holtzmann, who will take over as head of Deutsche Bank's EU representation in Brussels next month, will co-ordinate relations between the bank and the institutions of the EU at all levels, as well as enable communications with EU authorities, political parties and associations.
Dr Holtzmann, who has been working for the bank in Berlin since 2006, where he was responsible for coordinating the bank's activities in the German capital, will take over from Tietmeyer.
Joining Deutsche Bank in 1996, Dr Holtzmann has extensive experience with public institutions, political parties and associations. From 1997 to 1998 he participated in an exchange programme at the Federal Chancellery; while at Deutsche Bank, one of his positions was as an executive assistant to the former bank spokesman, Dr Rolf-E Breuer, as well as taking on roles at Deutsche Bank Research and in corporate finance in London and Germany.
