Deutsche Bank Adds To US Equity Research Team

Deutsche Bank has appointed two new senior staff for its US equity research group, hiring former JP Morgan and Barclays Capital employees.
Chuck Grom and Vishal Shah both join the German banking giant as managing directors. Grom will cover the broadline and department stores and food and drug retail sectors, while Shah will cover the alternative energy and semi-cap equipment sectors.
Grom previously worked for JP Morgan, most recently as the lead analyst for the broadline, department store and supermarket sectors.
Shah joins Deutsche Bank from Barclays Capital. Before Barclays, Vishal was a senior vice president at Lehman Brothers, responsible for research coverage of the solar and semi-cap equipment sectors.
Both Grom and Shah will report to Steve Pollard, managing director and head of research for the Americas.
In related news, Deutsche has also hired Dieter Hoeppli as a managing director and head of metals and mining for the Americas this week.
