Deutsche AWM, Harvest Global To Launch RQFII Product In Europe

DeAWM partners with Harvest Global to bring RQFII to Europe.
Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management has partnered with Harvest Global Investemnts to launch a new Renminbi qualified foreign institutional investor product in Europe.
DeAWM already manages one of the largest China A-shares ETFs in the continent, totalling around $900 million, providing indirect access to China A-shares. The European ETF market to-date records $380 billion in assets under management, or over twice the size of the Asia-Pacific ETF market. Out o the 1,366 Europe-listed ETFs, only 13 are focused on China and majority of which are invested in H-shares.
"Hong Kong RQFII products cannot be publicly offered to US and European investors. These investors will be instrumental for the opening of the China market. This is why more than one year ago we took the decision to provide global investors an efficient access to China," said Marco Montanari, head of passive asset management Asia-Pacific at DeAWM.
The launch comes barely a month after DeAWM announced the launch of the New York-listed db X-trackers Harvest CSI 300 China A-Shares fund, an ETF fund that offers direct investment opportunities in China.
