DBS Group Reshuffles Executive Ranks In Consumer Banking Arm

DBS Group, the Singaporean bank, has named a new head for its POSB unit.
Effective from 1 October 2012, Derrick Goh takes the role of head of POSB, the branch of consumer banking services offered by DBS in Singapore.
Goh is currently the chief operating officer for institutional banking. He replaces Koh Kar Siong, who has been appointed regional head of DBS Treasures, as incumbent head Pearlyn Phau moves to become the head of consumer banking in Hong Kong.
"The consumer banking and wealth management landscape continues to evolve in response to ever-changing needs across the region. [The appointments] underscore our strategy to be the Asian bank of choice," said Tan Kong Khoon, group chief executive and head of consumer banking.
The announcement came just shortly before DBS Group reported strong earnings results for the first half of 2012.
