Danish Bank Taps Rival for Global Head of Wealth Management, Positions for Growth

Denmark’s Saxo Bank has named Soeren Mose as its new executive director for Private Wealth Management. He is to anchor the bank's global investment activities in respect of private banking and wealth management as part of an ambitious growth strategy aimed at the year 2010. Prior to his new appointment, Mr Mose was chief executive officer of Danish rival Jyske Bank's subsidiary in Switzerland and previously headed Jyske’s private banking business in Gibraltar. Saxo Bank co-founder and co-chief executive officer Lars Seier Christensen said: "One of the primary objectives of Saxo Bank's Corporate Strategy for 2010 is the creation of growth in our private banking and wealth management segments. We have a declared strategic priority to expand our trading platform through innovative approaches to active wealth management.” As part of the same strategy for international expansion, Saxo Bank has opened satellite offices in London, Singapore and Marbella over the past 12 months, and has plans for more foreign outposts in future.
