Credit Suisse Recruits Senior Banker From Rival

Switzerland's second-largest bank has recruited from a Swiss rival to fill the position for market head for France, Luxembourg and Belgium.

Credit Suisse has appointed Gilles Dard as managing director and market head of France, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Based in Paris, Dard will report directly to Claudio de Sanctis, head of Credit Suisse International Wealth Management Europe. The appointment is effective 1 December 2015.

Dard previously worked at Julius Baer, where he was head of Continental Europe from 2012, with responsibility for leading the integration of the European operations of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management into the group. Prior to this, he worked for 13 years at Merrill Lynch in senior client-facing roles, most recently as head of emerging Europe, Africa and Continental Europe. He brings with him more than 20 years of experience in leading private banking businesses across Europe.
