Credit Suisse Names New US Head Of Investment Banking Operations

Credit Suisse has appointed James Walker head of Americas Investment Banking Operations. In addition to this role, which he took up on 1 June, Mr Walker has also become head of Global OTC Operations.
As head of Global OTC Operations, Mr Walker will have worldwide responsibility for operational support for over-the-counter derivatives, foreign exchange, loans and commodities.
Mr Walker joins Credit Suisse from Barclays Capital in New York, where he was chief financial officer for the Americas region. In his new position he reports to Gary Bullock, head of Global Investment Banking Operations at Credit Suisse and remains based in New York.
Mr Walker’s prior career also includes 13 years spent at Merrill Lynch, where he was latterly CFO of Global Markets and Investment Banking, along with an eight-year stint at Morgan Stanley during which time he was based in their London and Tokyo offices.
