Credit Suisse Names CEO For France, Belgium

The Zurich-listed lender has appointed a new chief for its business in France and Belgium.
Credit Suisse
has appointed Bruno Angles as chief executive for France and
Belgium, taking the helm from Pierre Fleuriot, who held the role
for six years.
Angles, who is based in Paris and takes up his job in April, has
a background in sectors such as infrastructure, airports and
France’s autoroutes network.
In 2004, Angles was appointed managing director of Vinci
Energies. In 2007, he joined the Macquarie Infrastructure and
Real Assets investment fund, where he successively served as
senior vice president and president of France. During his
mandate, he was appointed director at Société des Autoroutes
Paris-Rhin-Rhône, director of Brussels Airport and also served as
chairman of Arlanda Express in Stockholm. In December 2014, he
was chosen to represent the interests of all the toll-road
operators during long-lasting negotiations with the French
government.
After graduating from the Ecole Polytechnique and from Corps des
Ponts et Chaussées, Angles started his career at the Ministry for
Public Works, Transport and Tourism.
“The appointment of Bruno Angles once again demonstrates our
ambition to grow Credit Suisse’s franchise in France. He will
undoubtedly be a worthy successor of Pierre Fleuriot and François
Roussely,” said Jim Amine, CEO of investment banking and capital
markets at Credit Suisse.
In February Credit Suisse appointed Gilles Dard as managing director and market head of France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Based in Paris, Dard reports to Claudio de Sanctis, head of Credit Suisse international wealth management Europe.
