Credit Suisse Makes Hire, Plans Austria Expansion

The Austrian private banking subsidiary of the Swiss giant Credit Suisse has hired Marcus Ehrhardt as a senior relationship manager for its office in Salzburg.

Prior to joining the bank, Ehrhardt worked at Bank Vontobel, the firm said in a statement. Earlier in his career Ehrhardt held positions at Raiffeisenbank Kleinwalsertal and Bankhaus Carl Spängler.

According to Henrik Herr, head of private banking at Credit Suisse in Austria, the country’s western region is central to the firm’s expansion strategy as it sees potential for growing its private banking business there.

In other recent hires, earlier this month the UK-based private banking arm of Credit Suisse hired Ian Hale as head of investment consulting, Chris Pottle as an investment consultant, John Williams as a director in the wealth planning team and Chris Williams as wealth planning product manager.
