Credit Suisse Lists New ETFs On The SIX Swiss Exchange

Credit Suisse is expanding its range of exchange traded funds (ETFs) listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange, adding two equity and two money market ETFs and taking the total number to 58.

The CS ETF (IE) on Credit Suisse Global Alternative Energy provides investors with exposure to 30 of the largest companies from the alternative energy sector. Thomas Merz, Credit Suisse’s head of ETFs for Switzerland/Liechtenstein, said he expects a positive development in alternative energy over the next few decades, and believes this ETF will provide investors with “easy access to this growing and increasingly important sector”.

Credit Suisse is also launching two money market ETFs: the CS ETF (IE) on EONIA, which replicates the performance of the Euro OverNight Index Average, and the CS ETF (IE) on Fed Funds Effective Rate, for which the benchmark is the short-term money market reference rate in the US.

In addition, the CS ETF (IE) on MSCI World offers investors exposure to stocks from global developed markets, so excluding stocks from emerging or frontier markets.  Merz continued: “The money market products and the ETF on MSCI World are specifically aimed at investors who would like to invest their money short-term in highly liquid and flexible investment instruments.”

Over recent months Credit Suisse has been expanding its ETF platform, listing funds on the Borse Italiano, XetraFrankfurt, LSE and Euronext Paris.
