Credit Suisse Launches Chinese, Australian Equity Products

Credit Suisse has launched a structured product series offering investors exposure to Australian equities, resources stocks and Chinese securities, according to Financial Standard.

For a minimum of A$20,000 (around $17,300), reports the news service, investors can gain long-term, capital protected exposure to Australian equities in one of three ways: Unit Class A, Unit Class B and a seven year option providing exposure to S&P/ASX 200 index.

Unit Class A is a five-year product investing in retail companies. Unit Class B, also for five years, provides exposure to resources stocks.

"Following a sharp correction in 2008, the share market is showing signs of recovery. Performance Plus is offering potential accelerated exposure to growth combined with the peace of mind of capital protection investment exposure,” Sam Watkins, head of structured retail product sales Australia and New Zealand, is reported to have said.
