Credit Suisse has hired David Norman to take up the newly created role of chief executive officer asset management for the UK and Ireland.

Mr Norman will be responsible for the development of the asset management business in the UK and Ireland and will lead the management of retail and institutional client relationships, sales, product development and marketing efforts.  He reports directly to J C Perrig, head of EMEA for Credit Suisse's asset management business.

Mr Norman joins directly from Morley Fund Management where he was director of marketing and products. He has worked in marketing and e-commerce roles at Threadneedle Asset Management and was the architect behind the ISIS and Insight Investment brands.
