Credit Suisse has appointed Fan Cheuk Wan as director and head of Asian equity research for the Private Banking division with immediate effect. Ms Fan will report locally to Mr Arjuna Mahendran, head of research for Asia Pacific, and functionally to Lars Kalbreier, head of global equity and alternatives research. Ms Fan joins Credit Suisse from ABN Amro where she was director and head of China research. Before joining ABN Amro in 2000, Ms Fan worked for Cazenove, BNP Peregrine and Standard Chartered Securities. She is joined by Irene Chow who joins from SG Private Banking and Timothy Fung who joins from Japan Asia Securities. Both have been appointed vice presidents, overlooking equity strategy for Greater China markets.
